Single parents band together...

Single parents of the world need to band together.

When people are in marriages, they have a partner to rely on. They can share the work. If mom forgets to send lunch with the kids, maybe dad (or other mom) can go get the lunch. There are two people to run those errands. Two people to keep from having to take the kids out in their car seats to the grocery store for one ingredient. Two people to split the clean-up duties when everyone is sick.

But for us single parents, we are on our own. Sick kid? Forgotten lunch? Toy left at the store? We are on our own, so let's load up and drive all over the place repeatedly. Sometimes, it can get overwhelming.

That;s why we need to band together. We need to share the load. If one person has left something at home, maybe another single friend can go get it. We can take each other's kids to the doctor for shots. We can be there for each other when the whole family is sick.

We need to band together in small groups. Maybe just two people. A pair of people helping to meet each other's needs.

Wait! Wait. A pair of single people getting together to raise a family....
