This is fascinating. Check out this article on photoshopped models in the media. The blog is run by Lexi and Lindsay Kite, wonderful young women at the University of Utah. They're my heroes. This is the best article I have seen on the subject, although if you get the opportunity to see the documentary Miss Representation, see it. It's fantastic.
